  • April 25, 6:00 pm Grand Finale at Barnes and Noble Bookstores at Chandler. Read with Ronald McDonald – the Clown!!! Fun activities. Attractive prizes!!!!

  • A dramatization of Frindle by Phoenix Theatre Academy children. Performances are 40 mins duration followed by a discussion. Dates and Times below.

Reading the Best -- Arizona Celebrates Books and Writers

Join the Arizona State Library, Archives & Public Records and the Arizona Humanities Council for an evening with some of Arizona's award-winning writers and literary organizations. -Kick off ONEBOOKAZ 2008 with the winning authors, Nancy Turner and Terri Fields. -Hear student winners of the Arizona Letters About Literature contest read their outstanding letters. -Celebrate Arizona's unique literary heritage with the presentation of the 2008 Arizona Literary Treasure Awards: Individual Award winner, author Nancy Mairs and Organization award winner, The University of Arizona Poetry center. -Meet the authors at a dessert reception and book signing following the program. Books will be sold on site by Changing Hands Bookstore. To reserve your complimentary tickets, please contact the Arizona Humanities Council at 602-257-0335 or email admin@azhumanities.org. Seating is limited. Tickets will be available to pick up at the Tempe Center for the Arts Box Office on the evening of the event.
