Reading Relay Toolkit (.PDF document)
Help kick off the ONEBOOKAZ event in your community with MANY voices. On Wednesday, April 10, 2002, the State of Arizona will join together in a Reading Relay. This is your community's opportunity to target a wide range of audiences as well as provide the media with unique local coverage opportunities throughout the day.

The Arizona Humanities Council is pleased to announce that it can help your library host a reading and discussion program around the ONEBOOKAZ selection, "Animal Dreams," by Barbara Kingsolver. AHC has both books to lend and discussions leaders available. AHC is providing this reading and discussion program at no charge, and it does not count against any other AHC reading and discussion program you may be undertaking or planning. You may request a discussion leader and up to 25 copies of the book, or you may just request a discussion leader if you already have the books. AHC has a limited number of books to lend, and limited funds for discussion leaders, so you'll want to immediately schedule your AHC-funded discussion. For more information, go to the AHC website, http://www.azhumanities.org. The AHC staff looks forward to seeing you at the Arizona Book Festival, April 6, at Margaret Hance Park in downtown Phoenix. Barbara Kingsolver will speak from the Main Stage at noon.

Braille and Talking Book Versions of "Animal Dreams"
The Braille and Talking Book Library has a few copies of "Animal Dreams" available and are happy to circulate these to readers with a special need. These are not the regular audio copies but a four-track tape that requires special equipment to read. BTBL will mail the tape as well as the equipment to listen to it.
